More Efficient Movie Watching With Satellite Internet Broadband
The entertainment industry just ain’t what it used to be, and that’s both a good and bad thing. Regardless of one’s preference on genre, style, actor or director, there are certain inevitable truths which shroud the motion picture industry in mystery and intrigue, making Hollywood the cash churning powerhouse it is today. The fundamental changes being made in the industry cover a wide variety of bases, included astronomically inflated salaries for movie stars, digital special effects, and the modern concept of the super movie star. The driving force at work behind a lot of these changes is the boom in widely available technology seen across the board in both arts and communications. At first it was the power of television to make movies and movie stars so widely publicized, walking hand and hand with publications like gossip magazines. Today, much of that power has been handed over to the internet. Between celebrity websites, gossip pages, blogs, YouTube videos, viral videos, live streaming, downloading and movie rental agencies like Netflix, there are a million and one ways to tap into the vein of the entertainment industry. Everything has been revolutionized; right down to the way we get ready to go catch a film.
When Grandma was a kid the picture show used to cost a penny, or a nickel, or whatever it was it was way less than what the average movie-goer pays today. Before going and spending a day’s worth of pay on a night at the theater, people want to know they are getting their money’s worth. For that reason, it’s more important than ever that the studios advertise well, to draw real interest in the movie. Before, it was far easier to get an audience in the doors, since going to the movies was a cheap and accessible weekly outing. Now, people want more info. The best way to get to that info is by going online to look at a host of reviews, watch the trailer, or even a behind the scenes sneak peak. The problem for many families is that it’s hard to do any of those things when stuck with dial-up internet. Instead, many are turning to satellite broadband service.
Those who live in rural or remote areas often have the farthest drive ahead of them when going to the theater. There may be only one or two movie screens within an hour’s drive. When also living without broadband internet due to the absence of DSL or cable internet availability, live streaming any video, even a movie trailer is impossible. Instead of spending the evening trying to get 12 trailers to load, why not make it easier by signing up for satellite internet broadband service? Not only will users be able to check out what’s new in theaters, but they will be able to download movies from the comfort of their living rooms. With download speeds over 50 times faster than dial-up service, for many rural or remote living internet users, the choice to go with fast, high speed, broadband satellite internet is clear.
Get all the best in movies and entertainment with direct tv wild blue satellite internet. With wildblue satellite service every family can enjoy movie night from the comfort of their own home.

Projector Screens-Measure Your Distance
Before you buy a screen for your home theater be sure to put your projector through a projection calculator and measure the distance that your projector will be away from the screen. Be sure to put in the correct aspect ratio for example 16:9. For example a 45” x 80” screen is 45” high by 80” wide. The diagonal measurement will be 92” which means the measurement from corner to corner of this screen. Your projector’s throw distance capabilities will determine the size of your screen based on how much distance that you have to work with.
There are many different types of screens that include manual, electric, fixed. The most common aspect ratio’s are 4:3 and 16:9. Manufacturers include Da-Lite, Draper and Elite. Electric screens can be operated with a remote or wired to a 3-way switch. Manual screens are pulled down by hand and fixed screens are hung flat on a wall surface. Recessed screens are mounted inside the ceiling space and come out electronically through doors that are flush with the ceiling.
Tripod screens are portable screens that can be easily transported from one place to another. Portable movie screens have cases that hold the screen and are pulled up from the floor. Outdoor movie screens are usually inflatable screens that are setup with an air compressor. Screens come in many different sizes that range for 40″ x 40″ all the way up to 24′ x 24′. Fast fold screens come with a metal frame and a screen surface that snaps to the frame.
